Amongst some tough competition, Rata House emerged the winner at the House Kapa Haka Competition on Thursday 29th June, with Miro House a close second.   Many hours were spent in preparation for the eagerly-anticipated event and tickets were at a premium.  
Principal, Mr Greg Fenton, had this to say:  “Congratulations to all four houses for the efforts that were put into the House Kapa Haka competition.  House leaders and seniors did a huge amount of work to present the performances on the night and each of the houses can be proud of their display.”  
School Kaumatua, Mr Jerry Hapuku, presented the Rongakako Trophy to the triumphant Rata House leaders, Nicole Brebner and Ronan Jordan, at the conclusion of the event.
