Representative Honours

Havelock North High School is well represented in both the New Zealand and Hawke’s Bay Canoe Polo teams this year. The New Zealand teams were recently announced for the Oceania Championships and Australian Championships in Sydney in April. Havelock North High School Head Girl, Greer Edilson was named the U21 team captain. Greer was a member of the NZ U21 team that went to Canada last year for the World Championships. Also chosen as members of the U18 teams were Ashlee Greaves for the women and Adriaan Steyn for the men. This is the first time either of them has represented New Zealand. Terri Morrison was also recognised and named in the U21B team, who will also have the opportunity to compete at the Australian and Oceania Championship.

Teams for the Canoe Polo National League were also named. Congratulations to the following students for their regional selection in Hawke’s Bay teams. Catrin Fuller, Bayedan Hales, Makenzie Grove, Meaghan Broad, Arriana Broad, Rebecca Davis, Connor Grant, Max Powell, Hugh Bristow.
