Choristers from Havelock North High School gave an enthusiastic concert to students at Havelock North Intermediate School last week.  They received a warm welcome from Havelock North Intermediate, reinforcing  the strong links that the schools have in music and the arts.  The concert, an initiative promoted and devised by our Cultural Committee, had the aim of inspiring younger students to pursue musical and choral pursuits at the intermediate and follow this through into our high school.  Our choristers talked enthusiastically and eloquently to their younger peers about the rewards and fun of being in a choir, an reinforced this important message through some fine ensemble and solo singing.  The Cultural Committee and members of our five choirs are aware of the very strong tradition of choral music at our school and are eager to do their bit to ensure that this in maintained and built upon.
