On Thursday 31^st October we held our Senior Prizegiving. This was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate student achievement throughout the year with our senior students, staff, and whānau.

Congratulations to all our prize winners for their outstanding academic, sports and cultural achievements, and to those who received special awards. We are delighted to announce our top scholars for 2024. Jeremy Beecroft was awarded the Foundation Trophy for Dux and Jeremy Jones was the recipient of the David Barham Trophy for Proxime Accessit. 

Jeremy Beecroft was awarded the von Dadelszen Cup for excellence in the Humanities, Prize in English with a Literature focus, for which he received the Ryan Award, Prize in History, Prize in Economics, Prize in Biology and distinction in Physics. Jeremy’s teachers are highly complimentary about his intellect, determination, creativity and outstanding organisational skills. He is intrinsically motivated to excel at the highest level whilst always being supportive and inclusive of his peers. Jeremy established a formidable academic goal at the beginning of the year and that has been fulfilled.

Jeremy Jones received the Mathematics Cup for excellence in Mathematics, Prize in Music, for which he received 'Smoke', Prize in Media Studies and distinction in Biology, Mathematics with Calculus and external Mathematics with Statistics. Jeremy’s academic performance has been outstanding. He is quietly determined and takes full responsibility for his learning. Jeremy is described as perceptive, thorough and insightful and teachers have appreciated his intelligence and high capacity for learning.

Congratulations to both recipients.  This recognition is well deserved!
