Asher James, pictured  with Lucy Carpenter, Branch Manager of ANZ, Havelock North (home page), and Dylan Kirk, pictured with former HNHS student, Mario Overeem, Branch Manager of ANZ Stortford Lodge (right), have just commenced a five week Gateway Extension course with the ANZ Bank .  The local ANZ branches were keen to work with the school's Career Centre to see some keen business students investigate career opportunities in the banking and finance industries. The Gateway Extension course ​encompasses weekly work experience in a local ANZ branch.  The placement enables students to shadow banking, including business banking staff, to look​ at all aspects of of the banking industry. As part of the Gateway Extension course, students also complete a number of NCEA standards by distance learning in their own time.
