Competition

Hawke's Bay Secondary Schools' round robin graded competition.

Season

Term Two, Week Two - Term Three, Week Five.

Time

Monday after school, 3.30 - 5.30

Venue

Games may be at any of the following clubs and will change every week: Havelock North Squash Club, Hawke's Bay Squash Club, Pettigrew.Green Arena, Hastings Squash Club and sometimes Central Hawke's Bay Squash Club.

Grades

Competitive Boys and Girls (graded or experienced); Non-competitive Boys and Girls (un-graded beginners)

Gear needed

Playing uniform - shirts; PE uniform for junior teams; racquet; non-marking (white soled) squash shoes.

Transport

School mini-bus or private car.

Parent help

Transport and manager for each team.

Costs

$30 - covers purchase of game balls, registration of teams and mini-bus hire.

The girls are this year aiming for the national team championship finals, where in 2007 they won the Susan Devoy Plate.

In the 2009 Hawke's Bay Schools' Championships, Sara Bailey won the senior girls' title, Catherine Sambrook the junior girls' title, and Sam Neil was runner-up senior boy.
