Shooting

A group of twelve HNHS smallbore rifle shooters has been coached at the Hastings Smallbore Rifle Club every Wednesday afternoon.  From this group, a selected team scored a win in a match arranged with the Hastings Christian School.  Group organiser, Bryce Sweet, is hoping that a Hawke's Bay schools' competition can be held this year.

Students also participate in clay target shooting. Several shooters practise at the Hawke's Bay Club on Maraekakaho Road and some have entered school shoots in Hastings and Taupo.
