Kapa Haka

The school kapa haka group, Te Roopu Kapa Haka O Maungawharau, has a long tradition of involvement in the cultural life of the school and we welcome all new members with open arms.  No prior experience is required.

Tutor:  Elizabeth Wilson

Rehearsals:  Tuesday/Wednesday 1.30 - 2.15 pm (Lockwood Gym)

Annually the group is involved in the Hawke's Bay Maori Festival, the regional Nga Manu Korero and the Havelock North Nigh School Music Festival.  The group is also called upon regularly to powhiri guests from other schools.
