Gymnastics

Teacher in charge:  Mrs Johnson

Playing season:  Winter terms only - no trials

Dates and times played:  training at lunchtime in school gymnasium

Practices:  once a week.  In 2011 we practised on Tuesday lunchtimes.

Playing fee:  none

Events/tournaments:  Competent gymnasts can form a team to represent the school at the HB Secondary Schools' Gymnastic Championships or Gymsport New Zealand Champs.

Gear supplied:  training gear/equipment such as trampoline, crash mats, mini tramp, mats etc.  Students supply own kit.

Extra information:  For the last couple of years, our emphasis has been on improving student participation and confidence in gymnastics, as we have not had enough students at top level to form a boys' or girls' team.
