Teacher in Charge: Mr Armon

HNHS teams compete in all national events and are recent winners of the Reading Trophy for best girls' team in Hawke's Bay.

Athletes are picked from the school athletic sports to compete in the East Coast Championships.

Individuals wishing to take their athletics further are introduced to specialised coaching at the Hastings Athletics Club and several of these will compete at the national championships in Timaru in December. Our road race teams have been regular medallists at nationals.
