Adult and Community Education Classes

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Funding has been withdrawn from hobby, fitness and special interest evening classes.  However the HNHS Board of Trustees and the School Foundation were keen that we continue.  They believe that this school has a great evening class culture and we see this as an important aspect of our role as the secondary school which serves the needs of the greater part of the Havelock North community.   As you can see from the list of classes below, we have several long-serving tutors keen to continue.  The inevitable consequence of the removal of the subsidy is that those wishing to attend our community education classes now have to pay the full cost of that class.  We believe many of you will see this as a worthwhile investment and that you will continue to suscribe to the programme.  If the continued support we believe is there actually transpires, we can approach other tutors to offer their services as well.

The following courses are offered in 2010 as part of the Havelock North High School Adult and Community Education.
