The Foundation is the cornerstone of development and philanthropy at the school and its continued success is vital to Havelock North High School’s future.
Financial assistance will not be directed to the day-to-day operation of the school, but will be invested in specific projects which will make a difference to the school and community.
Short and Long Term Objectives
Short‐term objectives focus on providing funding for specific facilities and activities on a project‐by‐project basis.
By funding a wide range of high priority tasks the HNHS Foundation seeks to maintain and improve the educational, cultural and recreational environment of the School and its contribution to the community.
The long‐term objective of the Foundation is to build and preserve a capital fund from which the income may be used to provide financial and other assistance for the benefit of the School.
Completed Projects
To date the Foundation has assisted the school by providing funding for:
- All Weather Sports Facility
- Website Development
- Auditorium plans and specifications
- School Garden's upgrade
We also provide assistance to the school with fundraising for school trips and programmes.
Scholarships
The Foundation believes it is important to recognise pupils who had shown strong determination and dedication to the school. The Foundation scholarships will help the pupils with their future educations with the hope the students will continue being good ambassadors for the school and community.
