English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
OVERVIEW
- to improve language skills in the four modes of speaking, listening, reading and writing
- to further develop literacy and communication skills
- to undertake internal unit standards in NCEA and undertake external internationally-recognised examinations at appropriate levels.
COURSES
Beginners' Course (new) - Introduction to New Zealand customs and culture.
Middle Group (second year) - undertake unit standards in NCEA Level Two
Top Group (third year) - undertake unit standards in NCEA Level Three, City and Guilds External Examination - levels A 1 and 2, B 1 and 2, C 1, and IELTS examination.
